Hello. My name is Donnie Shepherd. I’m fairly young so my experience isn’t what
the others have but, I have a great knowledge about the equipment we use and
have been fascinated by the unknown. I use a scientific approach on all the
cases we investigate. Meaning I think there’s a reason something happened, a
cause. I try to use the old hypothesis, experiment, conclusion method to try and
debunk every finding that we have. The rush you receive from going into a dark
place is another reason I do this. I look forward to learning from my team
members and exploring the unknown, to try to uncover the mysteries of the
universe.

Hello. My name is Mark Stewart. For several decades, I have had some major
doubts about certain aspects of the theory of relativity, quantum theory, and our
current model of the atom. In order to properly understand what is going on in
the universe, I believe we have to have a certain basic understanding of the
forces involved. Without going into all of the details, it is generally believed by
most scientists that there are four forces that permeate the universe: Gravity,
electromagnetism, the strong force, and the weak force. Based on my study of
the ring model for the nature of the atom and on Maxwell's field equations of
electrodynamics, I believe there is but one force that governs the universe and
that is electromagnetism. We ourselves are a composition of electromagnetism,
albeit in small measure. My purpose in researching the paranormal lies in
establishing scientific standards and a set of criteria by which we can
differentiate that which may be caused by natural forces and that due to
paranormal activity. My purpose is also to quantify this data for research
purposes and establish experiments so that I may test various theories
regarding the nature of paranormal activity. With this in mind, we may all gain a
deeper understanding of the issues debated and will appreciate the complexity
of seemingly simple issues.

Hello. My name is Loretta Hurley. Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated
with the “unknown”. My mother often told me that at a very early age, I took an
interest in what she called scary movies. She said I would sit behind a chair to watch
the movies, so I could hide when I got too frightened. I grew up hearing my elders
share stories about their experiences with ghosts and unexplained events. I will
never forget my own personal experience and the questions I had as a result.
While we did not regularly attend a church, faith was a natural part of our lives. I was
taught that our soul goes to heaven when we are finished with this life. If that is the
case, then what did I experience? My family didn’t seem too frightened by their own
experiences, and seemed to accept that it was caused by a person who had once
been alive. How could that be, given their beliefs?
I began studying different religions in the hopes of finding answers to these and
other questions I had. I was surprised to learn each religion has their own theories
and beliefs concerning what are commonly known as the paranormal. In the
meantime, I continued to have my own paranormal experiences. After seeing so
many shows on TV about “ghost hunting”, I decided I wanted to change direction. A
scientific approach might give me the answers I was seeking.
Enter P.S.I. After having the team investigate my own home, I was impressed with
their professionalism, thoroughness, and skill. I am hoping to learn from the team
and perhaps unlock some of the mysteries that surround us.
