Computers
Walkie Talkies are used when covering a large area and safety is very
important to us, so we always travel in a pair of two and carry walkie talkies in
case something happens, even if it's paranormal.  Caution should be given
because horse play can cause false evidence.
Thermometers are used to detect cold or hot spots, usually spots where the
temperature raises or lowers by at least ten degrees.  We also have two
thermo/hygrometers, these take the ambient temperature readings while also
displaying the humidity level.
Audio Recorders
Audio recorders are used to collect EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomenon).  
Many people believe the dead are trying to communicate with us through
sound.  A voice is picked up on the recorder that was not heard at the time of
the recording.  We have a wireless microphone that plugs into the computer
to be recorded, this eliminates the time it takes to transfer the data.  We also
use the old cassette type recorder with microphones that have a long cord to
eliminate the sound from the device.  We have had more success with the
Olympus recorder for some reason so we have several of those units some
that will transfer the data via the USB port.  We also have many earphones to
use when reviewing the evidence to help drown out the surroundings.
All video equipment should have night vision capability.  Cameras are used to
capture a spirit manifesting itself or any other paranormal activity.  We use
cameras on tripods for stability and only wired cameras because wireless
systems can pick up interference.  PSI uses a multiplexer DVR unit which
excepts four cameras that are night vision and able to see in total darkness
up to 150 feet.  With this unit we can view all the cameras at once or a single
camera.  Instead of packing around a TV, we simply connect this unit to our
computers where we're able to view them, then any findings can be recorded
directly to the computer.
Miscellaneous
Flashlights- everyone wants to be safe and see in the dark.  We have lights
that are equipped with a red lens so there's not to much light.  Lights that you
can put on your head are useful because they free up your hands.
Binoculars- for outside use.
First Aid Kit- for those accidents that will happen.
DVD Player- to watch that video evidence that was recorded.
Motion Sensor- used in a large area when you can't cover everything.
Tape Measure- to measure the distances of possible activity.
Baby Powder- we lay this down where no one will be to try and capture some
kind of imprint.
Wind Chimes- a control object used to detect movement.
Quarters- on a piece of paper with a circle drawn around it, another control
object, hopefully a spirit will move it.
Still Cameras
Still cameras are used to try and capture spirits or orbs.  We use a wide
variety of cameras including digital and 35mm.  Digital allows us to review the
evidence faster, downloading them to the computer and inspecting for activity.
Be careful about enlarging pictures because this will distort them.
Cases
We use an ordinary fishing box to carry equipment in, it's compartments allow
us to separate things so their organized.  We store batteries, wires, most
meters, and other accessories.  We also have several cases including the
camera bags and suit case like bags.
Vest
It may sound funny but we use fishing vest on our investigations because
it has many pockets to contain our gear.  We have found they work very
nicely.
We currently use two laptops to record wireless
audio to, record video, and to analyze audio from
recorders.  We create documents such as
permission forms, release forms, many of which
can be found on our Forms for Investigation tab
on the home page.  Most of our documents are
done in excel and word perfect.  We also create
the website you are viewing.
We have listed what equipment we use on our investigations to help you
understand what is used and how it's used.  Beside each equipment will
be a listing of what it is and how we use it to hunt paranormal activity.  
This is not a complete list and does not show all that we use.  We have
multiple items that are not shown such as the cameras.  If you want to

With this instrument it is possible to locate and track energy sources, which is
believed to be what spirits use to manifest themselves.  Before an
investigation we walk around and take readings and find out where electrical
sources are.  Always have a camera with you and when a positive EMF
reading is given take a few pictures in case something is there that isn't seen
with the naked eye.  We use electronic systems as well as a compass as a
backup, here you simply watch for the needle to spin.  An am/fm radio is used,
when set on the lowest am channel a loud static noise is heard when around
an electro- magnetic field.
