On June 13, 2009, PSI (Paranormal Scientific Investigators) was represented by co-founder Mark Stewart
to an investigation at a private residence in Chillicothe, Ohio. The Hillsboro Ohio Ghost Seekers as well as
the Hillsboro Ohio Paranormal Encounters were there as well. I was called in I believe because of my past
experience. Several of their members were new and for some it was their first investigation, so the more
experienced members guided the neophytes.
Upon arrival, we met the owner minus his wife, as she was apprehensive about our investigation. The client
has some pictures that they had taken. Two were of a light apparition by their television in their living room
and the others were of orbs.
The client gave us a brief tour of the location and we began by setting up our equipment in the areas we
deemed best. My focus was on getting a layout of the place and indicating where electrical
outlets/appliances were located, as well as vents, windows, doors, ceiling fans, etc…
I began the investigation in the basement with the founder of HOPE. We took temperature readings, did a
sweep with our electromagnetic field detectors, had our digital voice recorders working, and took a number
of pictures. I also had my infrared 8mm Sony video camcorder recording as well. At one point I heard some
knocking. The investigators heard it as well. After reviewing the evidence, it turned out the knocking was
caused by the HOPE founder tapping on the basement ceiling.
My next area of investigation was upstairs in the master bedroom and attic. I again proceeded to take
notes, indicating the time, temperature, etc…utilizing all of the equipment I had but nothing else occurred
really for the rest of the evening. I had some commitments the next day, so had to leave earlier than the
rest. Based on all of the evidence I had to conclude that the house could be haunted, and could merit
further investigation. Investigators for HOPE and HOGS included Ron and Scott Fulkerson, many others
and myself.
