Small lane near Hillsboro, Ohio (Highland County); The PSI team investigated this
site because research indicated that persons may have died at this location and
paranormal activity had been reported to us. We set up our equipment at this old
abandoned house located there. Two of our members felt a possible presence and
had been using their digital voice recorders. Upon further review they detected
EVP's at this time; Another member's Electromagnetic Field Detector, which worked
properly at the beginning of the investigation, began to just go crazy. Electrical lines
were detected & found, but the device would still not function properly. Later after
arriving at his house and checking it out, it operated just fine. After reviewing the
video evidence, another member noticed a black full-torso, possibly free-floating
shadow. We say this because where the apparition was filmed at, there is a gully
and the figure did not descend. This was on a Saturday night. We decided to back
to reinvestigate this site Monday in an attempt to reduplicate what we had seen and
debunk it; Lo and behold the house during the weekend had been demolished by a
bulldozer. We were still able to reduplicate where the video camera was located and
ascertain the scenario. We even tried to account for possible automobile headlights
causing a moving shadow effect. Those results were negative. Our conclusions
remain anomalous and conclusions will depend on the eye of the beholder (April
